When She Goes

WHEN SHE GOES

There she goes again
Heaven knows that it should come as no surprise
Judging from the emptiness behind her eyes
But I don't see it coming, I don't see it coming
When she goes again
A wiser man might see beyond the thin disguise
But she gets halfway gone before I realize
That anything is wrong

When she goes I never seem to know why
Friends they tell me don't cry, she will come again
When she goes I feel as if I might die
But somewhere in my mind's eye I can see it's wrong
Oh, maybe I've been loving her too long

When she goes I never know just what I'm going to do
Or if I'm going to make it through another day
And just when I begin to fade away

Here she comes again
Knowing all the while that she's not home to stay
Any fool with half a mind might turn away
But I am not that strong, no I am not that strong
She will go again
Sure as rivers flow I know she'll go away
But maybe I can make her stay another day
Cause I can't live without her

When she goes I never seem to know why
Friends they tell me don't cry, she will come again
When she goes I feel as if I might die
Friends they tell me don't cry, she will come again
But when she goes I cry
